Directions to Lynda's Cabin & Cottage
(812 South Drive, Jackson's Point)
In the summertime, it is a pleasant
forty minute drive north from Hwy 401 on Hwy 404 to Green Lane.
In the winter the trip can take an hour depending on
road conditions.
Highway 401/404/Green Lane/Woodbine
Avenue:
From
Hwy 401, take Hwy. 404 north to Green Lane (top of the 404).
Turn right (east) to the first set of traffic lights (Woodbine Avenue).
Turn left (north) onto Woodbine Avenue (turns into Baseline Road above
Keswick just past Mason Place Fireplace & BBQ Centre). Stay on
Baseline - DO NOT turn off onto Woodbine where it splits off - continue on
to Kennedy Road.
Turn left onto Kennedy Road to the 1st Stop Sign, Metro Road.
Turn right (east) and follow Metro Road to Jackson's Point.
Turn left on South Drive (#812). If you come to a stop sign you have
gone too far. Backtrack by turning left on Dalton Road, then left on Lake Drive. Follow
Lake Drive just past the right curve where the trees open up to the view of
the lake. Turn left on South Drive. Veer to the right (#812).
From Toronto's east end:
Take Markham Rd north to Sutton (High Street).
Follow High Street to the 2nd set of lights (Dalton Road).
Turn right on Dalton Road & travel thru the town to Lake Drive (just past
Lake Simcoe Arms).
Turn left on Lake Drive & follow past the right curve where the trees open
up to the view of the lake.
Turn left on South Drive.
Veer to the right (#812).
From Michigan:
Take MI-10 northwest to I-75 south.
Take I-75 south to the Ambassador Bridge (toll) and cross into Windsor,
Canada.
Take Hwy. 3 south to Hwy. 401.
Continue according to directions above for Southwestern Ontario.

From Mississauga:
In the summertime, it is a pleasant 75-minute drive.
Going north from
Mississauga to Hwy 407 ETR / Hwy 404 east to Markham Road. In winter, it is an equally scenic
trip, taking just a little longer.
Toll Route:
Hwy. 407 ETR* east to Hwy. 404 North
Alternate route without toll: follow QEW east to Hwy. 403 east, to Hwy. 401
east, to Hwy. 404 north.

From Pearson International Airport:
In the summertime, it is a pleasant 75-minute drive from the airport using
major highways. In winter, it is an equally scenic trip that may take a
little longer with good roads.
As you leave the airport, follow the signs to Highway 407 ETR east, to Hwy
404. Follow
the instructions given from
Highway 401/404/Green Lane/Woodbine Avenue
above (eliminating Highway 401). |
